Quality has always been the primary focus of Morellato’s production philosophy. The first company in Europe equipped with an in-house laboratory, Morellato has developed over the years an extensive experience in quality control, pride and key to the company’s success. Each production stage, from the selection of leathers to the development and production, is closely and consistently monitored by our laboratory, through the implementation of technical and aesthetic tests of the watch strap. Our quality is certified through tests in compliance with the Swiss watchmaking standards.
Specialized laboratories conduct chemical tests on the materials utilized in our production in accordance with the European regulations concerning chemical elements. Additionally, the company has adopted a monitoring and classification system of its suppliers that, through specific certifications, guarantees the respect of the parameters enforced by REACH and other international regulations.
This type of checks is performed in our in-house laboratory through specific tests to verify compliance to the expected endurance and characteristics. All supplies, even of material utilized for a long time, undergo tests before being received.
All of Morellato’s products comply with the REACH Regulation 1907/2006 and are, therefore, hypoallergenic and free of hazardous substances. All reptiles adopt the CITIES certificate, a very important document that safeguards the controlled exploitation of endangered species of flora and fauna and that supervises and limits their trade globally, maintaining the protected species list constantly monitored and updated.
